Most magical Vixy Dust........how sweet it is...

I use vixy on a weekly basis to pull FLV files, translate them to AVI, and then I use them at Church.  I’ve used these for sermon starters, music videos, etc.  This wonderful service allows you convert a Flash Video / FLV file (YouTube’s videos,etc) to MPEG4 (AVI/MOV/MP4/MP3/3GP) file online. It is using a compressed domain transcoder technology (outline in Japanese). It converts FLV to MPEG4 faster and less lossy than a typical transcoder.

When you submit an url, it will download and convert to the video format. Then you can download the converted file.

FLV to MPEG4 Conveter engine is now OpenSource. You can download the source code via subversion: http://sourceforge.net/svn/?group_id=183657

Have you or your church ever used “Out of the Box” forms of worship?   This version of “Stomp” stirred my spirit, in a good way.  I think sometimes I get too comfortable, and expect worship to be served up the way I always get it.   Thanks God for stretching me in this way.

This past Saturday, with my church, http://www.lifechurch.tv/ Hendersonville Campus, I got to help distribute LifePacks to single moms. We gave out almost 2000 packs impacting over 4000 moms and kids in the surrounding area. Crisis Pregnancy Center, The Bridge Ministry, Gallatin Cares, wives of soldiers at Ft. Campbell, Section 8 housing moms and several more groups. What an awesome day, and a great way to keep the focus of the season on Christ, and giving ourselves away for HIS service.  This past Saturday, with my church, http://www.lifechurch.tv/ Hendersonville Campus, I got to help distribute LifePacks to single moms. Oh my, Led Zeppelin, 2007.    The Song, Kashmir.  The reason for posting this, was due to the amazingly impressive backgrounds chosen to stream as their backdrop. Highly impressive.  You’ve probably seen these guys, but not like this.    Could you see using this in the Church setting?     How much is too much?   Let me know your thoughts…
